Navigating Movement Lab

A login is required to access Movement Lab. To authenticate the login process, you must have an internet connection. An internet connection is required to download scans from the Organisations scan library. Scans stored locally on the PC can be retrieved without an internet connection. They are encrypted and can only be opened with Movement Lab software.

Here is a summary of the most commonly used icons in the menu bar of Movement Lab.

1. Open scan data

Provide the five character or more identifier (PID) that was entered at the start of the Posture Scan or any new PID that was changed after a scan. Examples: email, name, membership number, etc.


2. Close scan

Close the scan that is presently opened to avoid third parties seeing the scan.


3. Save scan

Save the current scan .pqdat file to the desktop. For security reasons, this is not recommended.


4. Animated feedback

Show the series of animated feedback screens with 3D images and measures for the scan that is open.  


5. Summary report

Generate a six-page summary report in PDF form, with the option to draw, save, print and share via email.

6. Biomechanics Report

Generate an eight-page summary report in PDF form, with the option to save, print and share via email.

7. Open report on Note

Create link to an online version of the Summary report and see the scan in the web browser.


8. Export measurement data

Export tab separated Biomechanics Report measurement data for an individual scan to the local computer in .txt format. 


9. Export Tracking Point Data

Export tab separated tracking point data from the regions of interest (ROI) of each movement to the local computer in .txt format.

Logo for Summary report Select a photo (.png, .jpg, .gif) from the personal computer. Upload an Organisation’s logo to be displayed on the Summary report.
Provider’s contact information for Summary report Fill in by Administrator or Provider Submit the Organisation’s contact details to display on the summary report, as required by law. Usually this contact includes a standard address, email and phone number for contacting the Provider.

Update the Movement Lab software. It is advised to update the software on a regular basis. A notification bar appears at the top of the screen when an update is available.

Information about the current version of software, the name of the cloud library and the names of third party software associated with Qinematic Posture Scan software.

View the Authenticated Provider that is logged in. The drop-down button shows the ID of the provider and organisation that the Provider belongs to, as well as sign out.

3D Video Controls

The 3D video can be changed in various ways to see the depth cloud, change perspective, zoom in/out, and to see the XYZ coordinates.
